Giese is instrumental in the firm’s focus on small business clientele as well as handling business and personal tax preparation at both the Palatine and Libertyville offices. Additional areas of focus include health care, real estate, and business acquisition and sale.

Jim brings with him more than 20 years of accounting expertise, which includes experience at Ernst & Young, at the Pritzker Organization, and most recently at BIK & Co. LLP as Principal.

Giese earned his B.S. in Accounting at Northern Illinois University and his J.D. at IIT/Chicago Kent College of Law.

Giese currently serves on the Northwest Community Healthcare Foundation Board and is Chairman of RAINBOWS, an international, not-for-profit organization that assists children grieving a loss from a life-altering crisis. The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce also benefits from his time, as he is Chair of their Business Issues Forum program.

For the past 30 years, Witz has gained progressive experience in the accounting industry throughout her career at E.C. Dreher & Company and BIK & Co, LLP. She has served as lead accountant, staff accountant, office manager, auditor, manager of accounting department, tax preparer, and now, partner.

Witz earned her B.A. in Accounting from Barat College in Lake Forest, and her M.S.T. (Masters in Science Taxation) from Northern Illinois University.

As the firm’s first woman partner, Witz plays an integral part of BIK & Co's. focus on multi-state taxation. She admittedly enjoys the challenge that it brings.
